Can you explain your problem more?

There are guides online for rebuilding the EQ6 (Atlas EQG as well). It’s not extremely difficult. There might be an amateur local to you who would be willing to help.

Hi

I don’t know if I can post a video here that would be a best explanation

Any I make the mount to go to will get stuck only in one area is like 45 degrees angle on RA

But it does happen when moth motors are running RA and DEC

How do I know because when I use hand controller using only RA or only DEc it doesn’t do the problem .

As I did use hand controller at the same time RA and Dec then it di get suck

By saying stock means stop ruining and and gives up to go to .

Chat grips telling me power supply might be week but I see to be 12 volt 6amp

As far as local astronomy clubs I haven’t visit them for long time .

I have to meet some people there and ask questions that’s a good idea .

Thanks .

If the power supply is weak, you will see the mount LED flash multiple times. The codes are listed in the manual. Depending on your connectors, they could have weak contact.

Theres a possibility your worm gear may not be meshed properly as well and you’re getting stuck in a specific spot.

Here’s a trusted guide on how to adjust the gear mesh if you want to attempt it:

I called Sky watcher and asked .

They told me never do hyper tuning on the mount only Only warm adjustments.

Or check my power supply

Brian Puhl avatar

This is correct. Worm adjustment is typically a seasonal thing, temperature can affect the mesh of the gears.

Hyper tuning is nice but not required for optimal performance.
