On this night, I set up my 12” SCT for an evening of lunar photography. The Moon through a big telescope like this is just so fun to explore! In this image I captured Montes Apenninus and the surrounding craters with a bit of Mare Serentis. This image is constructed of the best 25% frames from a 2-min .ser file captured in SharpCap, the total frames in the video capture were 2,176 so I guess the seeing conditions were not as great as I thought they were from some visual observations. I also documented this evening over on YouTube, give it a watch if you’re interested!
