Description
Started capturing data on 03/09/18 and finished with data acquisition on 04/08/18. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds! There has been plenty of that this spring here in north Alabama. But it's nice to finally have a little data to process after a what seems forever!
I captured 1,600 frames of L data at 20s a frame using gain of 75 an offset of 15. The frames are only 20s due to the light pollution here, any longer and the images get blown out. Really wanted to do lot's more to bring out the IFN that surrounds both M81 and M82. You can make out a little hint of IFN with the current image but it has no real detail. The IFN actually shows up pretty well in the original stretched version but I decided to not present that. It just didn't look that great from a lack of detail. Maybe next year I will capture more luminance data but now it's on to more galaxies seeing the forecast calls for a few nights of clear skies :-)
Thanks for looking!
