Description
At the southwest of Alderamin (top left), in Cepheus, lies this faint (fainter than I though, at least) HII nebula, catalogued as Sh2-129 . Also interesting are the few black patches that surround the nebula, especially LDN1082, for a longer focal length.
To me, the most prominent feature are eyes of the bat, the two stars that look similar in magnitude but have strikingly different colors. The bluish one is indeed embedded in the Squid Nebula (Ou4), that is not visible in this image, needing very deep exposures with [O III] filters to show up.
So maybe I guess this is again the same old 'work in progress/needs more data' story. Yeah, you know exactly what I'm talking about, don't you?
