Description
What would be a year without a recap 😊. I like them, since they do bring memories back, that should not be forgotten. The solar eclipse was definitely the most exciting part of 2024, cannot beat this one. But the deep sky is still full of wonderful targets to look and study at!
My overlay shows a few statements that came into my mind when collecting the images.
1st in amazing: When I look close at this image, I really cannot see anything that I could have done better, for me my best processed image of all in 2024. And the Dolphin just looks awesome on top 😊.
1st in beauty: I do love my "golden touch", and Lower's Nebula was always one of my favorite nebulas, and I liked the results. And ... a wonderful collaboration with Bruce to top it off 😊.
1st in enjoyment had to be the solar eclipse, the feeling to be able to see this event is special, very special, and I was lucky enough to have clear skies, man, what a decision misery it was, and all with a great outcome,
1st in surprise: M83, very low at the horizon, and then LRGB under my LPed skies. Did not expect anything, and how nicely I was surprised how this image turned out to be.
1st in difficulty: No question, OU4 was a tough one. I believe the skies that Bruce and I (collaboration) have to deal with, makes this target a super challenge.
1st in unusual: The number of likes indicates, that the a (HαR)GB is not the most favorite style on AB. Personally, and especially the dragon, I love this a lot, hence in this collection of 2024.
Let 2025 be a good year for all of us, we, who pursue this hobby, are the lucky ones, let's never forget this. I wish that everybody could enjoy their life the way we do, but it seems to be impossible. Hence, my best wishes - beside to all of us here on AB - to all people that need it more than we do.
Carpe Noctem and a Happy New Year 2025!
