Description
I shot this last year and wasn't happy with it, mostly because of my telescope/focal length choice. After seeing a superb shot done by @LittleGhost here on Astrobin, I decided to try this with my 70mm Meade quad APO. I put much more time into this and ended up with 11.66 hours of lights over the last three weeks...gotta love the Florida moisture! I ditched about 70 subs due to haze etc etc. I did very little processing with this, mostly star reduction, light pollution and noise. I wish I paid more attention to my rotation, but I am still pleased with the final. One thing I did different is I have the Meade piggyback on top of my Skywatcher Esprit 120. I have been using the meade as my guide scope for the Skywatcher. I swapped cameras and used the Skywatcher as the tracker...it worked wonderfully!
