Description
The Orion Nebula for 2022
This is my first image taken for my retirement, the same old M42 that I do each year. I want to thank Niall MacNeill and Steve Lantz for their help and guidance on this project, I hope I have done their suggestions credit. Niall suggested the technique and Steve has helped me with Photoshop.
Gear and Technique:
I used my modified Canon T7i with the Sigma 150-600 mm lens, shot at 600 mm, f/6.3, ISO 800. I used the iOptron SkyGuider Pro for my mount. I shot the regular Darks, Flats and Dark Flats after I shot:
120 – 10 second exposures for the core
31 – 60 second exposures for the whole nebula.
These 151 images plus Darks, Flats, and Dark Flats were processed with Deep Sky Stacker, Star Tools 1.6, and Photoshop.
