Really Awesome. Congrats Bray.
It is a beautiful one. And the resulting image with the surrounding dust and beautiful star field is really nice.

Thanks Nick! Was surprised by the amount of dust. Would love to go deeper but I only get about 2hrs on this field per night at this time of year
Congrats Bray! So cool!
Thanks Yann!
Outstanding work, congrats !
Thanks Bernd!
Hello Bray, that is amazing! I am wondering how you discovered it? You had a hint and then decided to put integration time on that location or you went through an existing image and noticed there is a not-yet-discovered object? I mean, probably many of us have undiscovered objects in their photographs but just dont know about it?
Thanks for giving some insight. CS, John

Essentially yes, I notice some hints in photos I capture and will dive deeper if there is something interesting. Certainly there are discoveries which go unnoticed in many peoples images.
Wonderful ! Congratulations Bray for the Falls !
Thanks José!
I didn't think it would still be possible to discover new objects using an "amateur telescope". Amazing job! Congratulations! And it is a beautful object!
Thanks Andre!
Super cool! That Oiii filter is working overtime! :-)
I’m gonna wear the coatings off of my Oiii filter at this rate
Wow dude you're on a roll! Awesome!
Thanks Dave!
Awesome Bray...keep it up on tallying on all PNs out there 👍...
The name is good too.. wish there was a Worm to go with it 😏

Thanks! Maybe I'll catch a worm nebula one day, I'll make sure its Shai Hulud!
Congrats on another amazing discovery. May the Falls Catalogue continue to grow!
Thank you Aaron!
Awesome Bray! I bet you there are a lot more discoveries to be had in Puppis since no one ever photograph this region… beside Andy of course who took 4 months shooting the thing…. I love the discovery but I love even more the deep vibrant blue of this object and the faint dust surrounding it. Good call to leave the HA out so we can focus on it and those beautiful stars surround it.
Yes it is a lot like when people image abell 33, it just looks really cool with O3-rgb
Congrats. Again.. I think you found them all .. LOL.. are you doing Oiii continuum subtraction with Green filter data?
Kudos.
Kudos.
It can be done with either green or blue, or a combination of the green and blue channels. It is easier to go for green in a time pinch
Great work!
Thanks Wei-Hao!
Hey Bray, congratulations on your discovery & thanks for mentioning my 'first-time capture of that region' image (which was sadly overlooked by the submitters - what were they thinking?)
Is your discovery present in my image?

Let's hope this image reminds them! The discovery is just out of the field of your image. Just imagine its getting launched by the big Ha wave, it is nearby in the direction the wave crashes.
You have a time schedule for blowing our minds , Bray. Congratulations.
Thanks Wael!
Wow, congratulations Bray on an amazing discovery and equally amazing image--beautiful! The Dune movie was gorgeous, your image is worthy of that for sure!

Congratulations on the IOTD and the discovery!
Thanks!
Remarkable and beautiful, Bray. Also amazing ( to me, anyway) that this was a widefield instrument capture. What’s the diameter of this object?
