vdB 146 is a reflection nebula in Cepheus, also known as NGC 7129, and it sits in the centre of this frame. There are lots of things going on elsewhere, with HII emission areas, dust and dark nebulae, and a faint super nova remnant to the left. The bright HII area to bottom left is part of Sh2-137.
