My favorite deep sky object has always been the Eagle Nebula because of the amazing Hubble and James Webb images of the Pillars of Creation. However, when I saw the Vera C. Rubin’s First Look image of the Trifid and Lagoon Nebulae, these two objects moved very quickly to the top of my list of favorites too.
