Tarantula Nebula (Data from HST)

Description
My own try on the impressive HST Tarantula Treasury Project data.
Cropped from mosaics F658N and F555W (see Data Source link above), which were mapped to R and B channels (G channel is synthetic , 40% F658N + 60% F555W), also applying a slight hue cosmetic correction to redden the warm colors. Also applied HDR Wavelet Transform and Local Histogram Equalization to improve contrast on nebulosity.
F658N: 658.394nm, FWHM=7.2nm ([N II] 658.4nm & H-a 656.3nm)
F555W: 539.104nm, FHWM=122.511nm (Green)
Many stars showed large, disturbing artifacts (blooming on the F555W data, and black pixels) and were manually corrected one by one with Photoshop, for cosmetic purposes.
