👏 amazing. How much was the focal length that you used for this target?
I wonder if I can capture this with my C8 edgehd with x0.7 or my william optics pleiades 68
Link
Tim Schaeffer 6 months ago
Thank Stefan!
We used a variety of systems, you can see in the equipment list just under the image. The Celestron will liekly be better suited for this kind of target, depending on your sensor. Be aware that it really is super faint and you'll need a lof of integration time, especially with a slow telescope.

On behalf of the entire team Andy thank you! This was a lot of work, but well worth it! Even though we had a lot of integration time it was challenging to process well in the editing stage and have a natural looking render faithful to the data set. Glad we got there in the end! I personally secretly named this one the "Dandelion Nebula"

OK merci Nicolas.

Salut Patrick,

Nicolas PUIG 6 months ago

Bon ciel

Incredibile image, congrats to the whole team!
How did you manage to blend data from RASA to data captured with other telescopes to a final resolution of 0.3"/px?
Link
Tim Schaeffer 6 months ago
Hi Daniele,
Thank you very much!
The RASA data was only used for MSGR, so is not part of the dataset you see above (i.e not part of the 265h exposure). The actual "data-data" was all in a range around 0.8"/px. reference frame was at roughly 0.7", and then we upsampled to 0.3".
