Description
The wide field image with M102 and the Splinter galaxy that brought at least for me so much fun. And maybe the fun was higher than usual after targeting so many Messier objects in a row. 4 left on my hard disk to process, then there will be a few more "fancy" targets. The wide field itself is this time in my eyes a bit more interesting, since several smaller galaxies can be seen, that are quite interesting. Thanks for M102, otherwise I do not think that I would have targeted this area ever.
Carpe Noctem!
Fun "trivia" facts: only 4 images of M102 made it to a Top Pick, 1 from the backyard, all from the 2020s, minimum scope size: Planewave CDK14, maximum: 0.8m reflector 😊.
