I also captured Venus, Mars and Jupiter the same evening in this 3 hour window of clear skies on this evening.

Seeing was average at best. This shot is 10000 frames captured, reduced down to the best 50.

Yes I haven't see the rings closed like this in a long time. I imaged Saturn a few year back and the difference in the tilt is amazing! The rings are due to go edge on in March but unfortunately Saturn will only be 10 degrees from the Sun when that happen.

The good news is we'll get a second chance to see them virtually edge on I understand this November when the Earth crosses the plain of the rings again before they start opening up once more in the coming years. We're bound to get a clear steady night at least once this November don't you think? :-) :Fingers crossed:
