Description
M16/Sh2-49 (center to top right) and Sh2-48 (bottom left) nebulas in Serpens and on the Scutum/Serpens border respectively, captured under the polluted skies of Sevilla city, Andalucía, Spain. June-July 2022.
On every image of M16 we instantly rush to check for the resolution on the pillars and seem to forget everything else, shame on you Hubble and Webb. The nebula is quite diffuse indeed except for this central part with the three-fingered pillars, the pillar on the left, and the intricate dark wisps on the top, so I guess it may not be entirely their fault...
