Andromeda (M31) – Combining DSLR and CMOS Data

For galaxies and other RGB-based objects I favor the color palette yielded by a DSLR , but I also prefer the excellent structural detail that is captured by a CMOS camera. In this image of the Andromeda Galaxy I used RGB data from a Canon 70D Full Spectrum Mod collected in 2017 together with luminance data from a ZWO ASI1600MM Pro collected in 2021.
