(With primary mirror edge mask and Paracorr, scope is operating at around F/6)

The second image of the 26/27 season for me and my rig, here in the SW of the UK. This image is a simple HOO combination and i used Seti Astro’s “NBtoRGB” stars script for the stars.

Captured over 4 nights, with the last couple of nights plagued by issues with tracking on my AZEQ6 - which i have traced to binding on the RA axis, probably due to the hot weather we have been having as I have not touched the worm/ring spacing.

Processing was relatively simple and all done in PI:

Gradient correction on each channel
BX on each channel
Remove stars
Stretch (manually by levels and curves)
NX on each channel
Channel combination HOO
Colour saturation boost - also used curves tool to bring down green level and make O3 more blue than teal.
Contrast adjustments using curves
NB to RGB on the stars
Add stars back in
Final tweaks to colour & contrast
Export to PNG
