Excellent image! I like the colors and the detail. Something for me to look for!

Thanks very much...good to have feedback when trying something a bit new (to me at least).

Twenty minutes of hydrogen?
Some days I would love to be in the southern hemisphere. I have been there, in Oz, but I was oblivious as to the stars. Damn shame that.
Very nice processing Alex.

Thanks my friend.
This might be visible from your location, but maybe not at a great elevation for imaging.

Very nice! So how much did the Ha add to the image? Can you even see the object without it?

The Ha was largely for the background. I believe the discovery image was purely OIII? The description in the reference that I cited was a bit unclear. (Something about the Ha hiding the nebula, as I recall.)
Thanks for looking, my friend...keep warm (down to 28 in Tucson last night).

10 deg here in Silver. Brrrr. Need to move outta here! We had a blizzard and although clear, I was afraid the dome might have problems so didn't open up.

Just saw an AARP article on "how to avoid retiring to hot places." Well....

The nebula is inside of an amorphous blob Ha cloud, which I chose to leave out because it made the apparent contrast of the bubble worse in the final image. The Ha cloud reducing contrast also means the signal of the nebula was not very isolated, and thus harder to find. If it was along somewhere empty, it would've probably been discovered already in a survey.

Very nice! Congrats!

Thanks, Richard...it was a bit of a challenge finding the right tools to go with the right data.

Awesome result!

Thanks much. And in one real sense, thanks for the data

Wonderful image Alex, lots of detail and great color, and I'm sure this was a challenge to process!
